A mother's love is never ending
day or night she's always there
A mother's love is unselfish
with unlimited love to share
Today we honor mothers
Each and everyone
To simple say "I Love You"
and "Thank You"
for all that you have done....

LIKE KRYPTONITE
He knew how to make the feel good, feel good
she could thaw the coldest of hearts
love, hate..hate'n love
the one weakness of the strongminded
blinded by a unforseeable force
one minute lovin love, your boo for life
next homicidal thoughts without getting caught
melting butter on the coldest day
get out my face, stay the hell away
an outsider lookin in would call it crazy
but your on the inside ridin the ride
some days mind all messed up, foggy and hazy
your night runs into day, your darkness brought to light
your one weakness revealed, caught up like kryptonite....

LADIES KNOW YOUR WORTH
(something to think about)
Dont be that apple on the ground
make him climb the tree, be just
within his reach
it's ok to make it noteable
that your:
reachable
teachable and obtainable
with a little work put in
stop falling for the
bullshit and fuckery of
friends with benefits
wasting your time tick tock
days, months, years you
cant get back
making babies, the whole
thing full a maybies
the feel good only temporary
leaving children fatherless
in the meantime do the work
on yourself whatever is needed
because sometimes we want things
when we're not really ready to
receive them
not trying to be preachy, just
the one that likes to say things
to make you think......

A LOVE SONG - PART 9
FAREWELL AUNT SARA, REST IN PARADISE
The passing of Aunt Sara had her thinking
about him and all the fun times they shared
the back and forth, the ups and downs
a battered heart beaten beyond repair
Homegoing services for Sara V Adams
Private Memorial
Location and time
disclosed only to the family
As she dressed for the service
the memories attacked:
the shower - the closed lip kiss
the drying off and lotioned up - losing teeth and
fish funeral
the pantyhose - first cooked lunch
the blackdress - things are starting to run together
perfume and accessories - prom night, the bitch Ingrid,
the stripper and her baby
makeup, hair, look in the mirror---SNAP OUT OF IT
this mess is crazy she thought
She walked in signed the book, got a program took a deep breath
and started walking slowly looking straight ahead
right then and there she made up her mind, she was not sticking
around
O my she thought, Aunt Sara looked like she was sleeping, not a
wrinkle in sight, O wow, cant be, was her wig on crooked
His thoughts as he watched: DAMN, she looks good, look at her
all grown up, I want her back-no,no I love Ingrid
After she said goodbye and a silent prayer, she turned and
double-timed it outta there, speaking and making eye contact with
no one
WHO WAS THE BODY IN THE HOT BLACK DRESS - Derrick thought, as
he watched her walk out of his life (for now)......
What the what- ain't it funny how things happen?
It ain't over, Stay tuned-----

THE THEN AND NOW
As I sit back and reflect
back then I wasnt ready
didnt take life seriously
lived kinda wrecklessly
didnt know what I wanted
from one day to the next
ran from anything that
resembled committment
after one bad breakup
Now I can say
I am thankful for survival
wiser with age
loving life and loving the
more mature me
glad I didnt settle
patiently waiting for my more better
not to traumatized by the
never ending rollercoastrer ride
of this thing called life.....

THE STOOD UP
Don't blow me up today
after you stood me up last night
the buzz, busy signal is all you
will get
the world does'nt revolve around you
Ain't nobody got time for that
inspite of it all I had a ball
doing what I do
turning heads and taking numbers
making the best of a situation
since I already came out the house
you really messed up when you didnt
show up
Gotta put the big girl panties on
because I'm flying solo
the social butterfly of days of old
waiting on someone who never came
no text, no call--game recognize game
you cant expect more than your
willing to give---R E S P E C T
asking for a million only offering
five cents
maybe it's best if you stay in
your lane
not trying to be a crash-dummy
running into a brick wall
if you allow it once, it will
happen again and again
the matter could have been straightened
out, with a simple phone call-----
A LOVE SONG - PART 8
(BIG BEN MORE THAN A FRIEND)
He drove that 18 wheeler down I95 with the
sweetness of dark chocolate (silky smooth)
she road with him whenever she could
their friendship was progressing nicely
as it should
she even had a handle name (sugarbear one)
they laughed, shared stories as they drove off
into the sun
sometimes in the quietness of the cab
she thought about HIM leaving a wound
with a scab
she was trying to move forward with Ben a
nice guy
but he was lacking in something she could
not explain or even wanted to try
Whatever she was feeling had to exit stage right
because Ben, was honest, nice and polite
99 botles of beer on the wall was the current
situation
he sensed something was wrong, so he
created intervention (the drinking game)
pulling over to a rest stop for some food
and a drink
what was wrong with her he wondered and
began to think
she was in the lady's room when her cell
started to ring
the number she recognized and mixed emotions
it did bring
Hello-- was all she said
It was HIM- dont say a word, I just thought
you'd like to know, glad you didnt change
your number, is what he had to say
just wanted you also to know
Aunt Sara passed away earlier today
(rememba Aunt Sara- from part 2)
I'll send the service info, once the arrangements
are made--bye.....
All she could do was stare at her phone, blankly----
ESP ain't no joke, after all this time, she still
could sense when something was wrong with him---
Does this mean they are going to be seeing each other?
STAY TUNED-- it ain't over......
